This letter is to confirm that Mr. Sharpe has been a member of the Volunteering abroad website “Workaway” since 09/07/2015 and has successfully participated in 4 different Workaway projects as a volunteer abroad.
During his placement time he has demonstrated a high level of adaptability when working with other cultures and demonstrated flexibility and creativity in problem-solving. This is proven by his capability to work in a challenging environment under unfamiliar situations and overcoming the cultural difference barriers with unfamiliar groups of people. German Artist Retreat

We had the pleasure of having Glenn stay with us for a little more than 2 weeks. He consistently went beyond any level of expectation with every task he performed. During his stay we had many deadlines to meet and through Glenn’s perseverance and the leadership skills, which he demonstrated with the other volunteers, we were able to complete the tasks. I am looking forward to welcoming Glenn to our facility in Saint Louis at some time. His skills and dedication to excel are very admirable. I can only highly recommend Glenn as volunteer….

 

Icelandic Sheep Farm

Glenn is a great guy and a has everything you can hope for in a workaway-er. He’s quick at learning the routine and you never need to tell him twice and much of the time there’s no need to tell him because he has already done the job. He is a man that gets the job done, and because of that there is a visible change on our house after his stay!!! And he is handy, works fast but does a good job. So I can only say I’d give him all my recommendation.
And as for the him as a person, Glenn you were really a part of the family and we miss you, hope you’ll come back one day!
Glenn is a easy going person with energy to do things quick but can also relax and have a quite time if there’s nothing to be done, he can be social but doesn’t mind alone time. So I’d say he adapts well and is in nature flexible.

A couple in Melbourne

Glenn is an extraordinary young man, who has made an incredible difference in our lives and helped us to achieve what we could never have done on our own.
He is energetic and shows great initiative and dedication to getting the job done. He is self-driven and has a great work ethic and enthusiastic approach to anything he is asked to do. He is also very flexible, adaptable and mature.
We have enjoyed interesting conversations and many laughs over a good dinner and bottle of wine at the end of each day.
It has been a pleasure getting to know Glenn and we will miss him.

 

A couple in The Sunshine Coast

Glenn was an absolutely sensational workaway guest. We have just taken him to the train and are both already missing him. What great company, witty, funny, intelligent, considerate and interesting. Glenn is someone who was instantly at home here, relaxed and wanting to be in everything.

Glenn’s attention to detail and strong desire for any job to be perfect was a credit to him. He is hard wired, not to do a “bodgy” job. Had to laugh with Julia cutting out rubber strips to an exact size and then fitting them, with Glenn then trimming the edges for them to be perfect.  We both loved Glenn’s work ethic and strong desire to make whatever he did, to be the best he possibly could. We both loved that he wanted his jobs to be something we would be proud of.

The fire pit and the wood box will be lasting testaments to his skill level and attention to detail. Fantastic.

But most of all it was Glenn’s sense of fun and wit that carried us through.

If you can have Glenn as a workaway guest, please do so as he is fantastic.
